Cycling now become the most popular and commonly seen forms of human-powered vehicles around the world. Why many people like to ride bicycle? I think it resulted in two main reasons. On one aspect, it can be a kind of recreation, on the other aspect, it can be an excellent form of exercise.
When we do an exercise, we may need some equipment for assisting. When it comes to cycling, I think the first most essential equipment is a safe, functional bike. A bike should have a sturdy frame, a comfortable seat, handlebars that handle well, a solid chain, and good tires.
However, a safe and function bike doesn’t representative that it won’t broken. Like the boy scout motto goes, "Always be prepared". Get one of the little bags that strap under your saddle and fill it with a spare inner tube, patch kit, tire levers, fold out mini tool and mini pump. With this kit you can take care of most of the problems you will run into while out riding.
In order to make sure you will not get hurt, a helmet is needed. Many states have laws that require cyclists to wear helmets, in particular, younger cyclists. A helmet should be sturdy, yet lightweight – it should not put stress on the rider’s shoulders or neck. It should also fit properly, as a helmet that is too large or too small could be hazardous and pose a risk to the rider if there was an accident. Before riding a bike in a certain area, it is a good idea to check the local laws with regards to helmet regulations.
In addition, you also need to take a bottle. It is usually mounted on the bike in an easy to access area so the rider can carry a bottle of water and be able to grab the water without stopping and looking through a pannier or other form of bag to find some water during a ride.
I think the listed accessories are the most essential equipments for cycling. When cycling, you cannot forget to take them. Otherwise, it may influence your emotion as if suffering some incidents on the road.
